Here are some excerpts from the episode:
Can you share a bit about your personal journey with faith and how it led you to the field of counseling?
”Okay, so I'm a product of a failed marriage.
My parents divorced when I was really young.
I don't remember it.
All I remember are the effects of having to visit my dad on the weekends and always asking him why are things the way they are.
I remember being quite upset as a kid, wishing my family could get back together.
But I didn't really have any kind of personal relationship with God.
It was just based on this is what my family does, so this is what I do. I didn't really know God.
And I don't know that I really cared to at that time.
It was something nice to do.”
…
”We have sore spots. And today, if someone presses me in that sore spot by using a tone of voice with me or using a certain word, it might press on one of those old tapes, right?
And that's going to hurt.
That's going to hurt a lot.”

”For people looking for you, where would they look?
Okay. So, our website is checkyourcompass.org.
So it's the word check, the word your, Y-O-U-R, and then the word compass, C-O-M-P-A-S-S dot O-R-G.”
