Folks, we live in the twenty-first century! And in the twenty-first century, we as a populace require Money! There are two main legal ways to go about it: money is needed to: pay bills, buy food, and pay for our cars (gas, upkeep, insurance, etc.), etc.
You either work for yourself, or you work for someone else. (There are other subcategories. But for this entry, we’ll look at these two main ways to do so.)
It’s that simple! How do we navigate this process, though? If you have ambition and a dream, you can go out on your own and build up a business. In today’s world, you can virtually do anything you want if you have the passion and the ambition to go out on your own! It’ll take some hustle and some grit, but it’s possible. Say you find your niche, and you initiate a business even if that business is solely run and operated by you in the beginning. You look at successful people who have done such, starting from a hole in the wall without any notoriety. Such examples as “chase after the right price - CATRP Crew!”CATRP
He grew his business starting in his teens. He was passionate about the resell field and collectibles like video games, trading cards, etc. He now has a full-blown business employing four individuals full-time and people on a part-time basis. He easily makes five figures; some would venture to say he clears six figures. But If you follow his content and know who I’m referring to, you know what I speak of. Well, folks, when you’re in the thick of starting an online business. Algorithms are not always your friend. They flat-out hate you, actually; it’s just the nature of the beast. But as you pop up more and more on the search engine database, people seek you out or do frequent business with you. “The algorithm gods” show you some favor and boost you up to a higher standard. That, however, is a talking point for a separate discussion. As a consumer and a person of interest, we must understand that sometimes you have to take what you can get to get the algorithms on your side, which also means when you get a legitimate sale, order, gig, etc. It is to your advantage to take it. The reason is you can live in mediocrity with insanely high morals, or you can be realistic and take legitimate offers. Now I emphasize “Legitimate” because many out there would love to scam you out of money, steal your information, clone your “profile and presence.” or a host of other possibilities. Usually, it’s easy to weed through those, though.
I have clear morals and ethics when it comes to taking orders. I will not write about or take orders for topics that go against my conscience and things I’m actively opposing. With that said. I often live in a bit of a gray area, and that has suited me well many times. But I’ve never crossed a personal moral or ethical boundary I have set out for myself.
I also operate on this concept. Play stupid games, and win stupid prizes.
In my terms, I akin that to this thought process. Suppose you’re paying me to do something or buying something from me. As long as I know without a shadow of a doubt that XYZ works or has been tested and is accurately described or, in the case of orders, as long as you’re paying me. You understand the parameters of what I’m offering, and it doesn’t go against my conscience (topic-wise); I’m going to take the gig or the money. With that said, if you are operating on questionable grounds, It’s not me that’s going to take the heat; all I’ve done is take your money. With you, as the consumer knowing full well the deal’s layout.
I’m simply providing a legitimate service to the public.
I am not responsible for things outside of our agreement. You get in trouble because you don’t have the money to spend? Did you decide to outsource xyz? Did you impulse buy? None of those are my concern. And you will not be getting a refund. If the product was broken and I either A) wasn’t aware of it before selling you said product, okay… my fault, I’ll own it. or B) you decide you’ve changed your mind, and it’s not actually what you want? That one is up to discretion based on the client. But Returning it to return it without defect? You won’t be getting your money back, haha.
So, why bring any of this to the light of an actual post? The reason is that I don’t think people outside the realm of online business understand how working online plays out. You don’t always get the ideal sale or the perfect order. Sometimes you get ones that make you think for a second or two and possibly scratch your head. But you have to operate on this philosophy if you’re going to make it. Whether you decide to accept that sale or that order. Someone is going to get paid for it. So why not have it be you? And as long as it doesn’t go against your conscience, who cares?
There are factors you have to take into account. But generally speaking, much of it can be hammered out in the negotiating phase. There are numerous facets to online business. And I’ll be the first to tell you I’m no guru when it comes to that. But I do have a bit of first-hand experience.
So to those working online, Keep up the hustle, and continue to work towards improving yourself and your business constantly. Lastly, plain and straightforward, Get after it!
