Israel Is At War!
What is the importance of this war, and how did the Israelis get to this point?
It was October 6th, 1973, during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, when Israel was caught off guard by simultaneous attacks from Egypt and Syria.
This started the Yom Kippur War, or “The October War.”
This war Had significant historical, political, and social implications for Israel:
The Israeli people or the Israeli government has not forgotten such Implications.
This surprise attack was a significant nosebleed strike.
It has strong commonalities with Israel’s present war with Hamas. It was meticulously planned then, and it was meticulously planned now. They also timed the attack to exploit Israel's vulnerabilities during the holiday “Yom Kippur” when many Israelis were not on duty.
It was a very strategic and yet cowardly move on their part.
As a result of their actions, In yesterday’s nosebleed strike, Hundreds of Israelis have been killed.
Here is a brief description of what the holiday means to devout Jews and why it was a perfect day to carry out the attacks.
”Jewish congregations spend the eve of Yom Kippur and the entire day in prayer and meditation. On the eve of Yom Kippur, the Kol Nidre is recited. Famous for its beautiful melody, the Kol Nidre is a declaration annulling all vows made during the course of the year insofar as they concern oneself (obligations toward others are excluded). Friends also ask and accept forgiveness from one another for past offenses on the evening before Yom Kippur since obtaining forgiveness from one’s fellows signifies God’s forgiveness. God is believed to forgive the sins of those who sincerely repent and show their repentance by improved behavior and performance of good deeds.

Some more context on how precisely the Hamas people executed this plan to fool the Israeli people. The Israelis had no clue until they were attacked. This attack has repeatedly been referred to as the Israeli 9/11.
”Hamas “used an unprecedented intelligence tactic to mislead Israel over the last months, by giving the public the impression that it was not willing to engage in a fight or confrontation with Israel.
”
This careful campaign of deception ensured Israel was caught off guard when the Palestinian Islamist group launched its devastating attack, enabling a force using bulldozers, hang gliders, and motorbikes to take on the Middle East’s most powerful army.

The surprise Yom Kippur attack was orchestrated on Oct. 6th, 1973.
And here we are 50 years later, Almost to the date, and The Israeli people are facing a similar nosebleed strike.
But with a different spin on it,
This time, it’s the Hamas!
How does this change the landscape of Israel as well as the geopolitical world of Israel?
Where is the Israeli nation headed? Does this war have biblical ties? If so, what biblical implications does it have?
”Attacks by Hamas fighters on Saturday that have killed at least 700 Israelis are a different order of magnitude to the various flashpoints between Israel’s military and Hamas-controlled Gaza in recent decades. They are also deeply destabilizing. Israel’s missile and land defenses had been thought impregnable; evidence they aren’t may embolden its foes. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition government is under pressure to mount a major response. Retaliatory strikes have killed over 400 people in Gaza.
Geopolitical risk-watchers can sketch out how things might escalate. Massive retaliation, or even an invasion of Gaza by Israeli forces, could lead to further action by Hamas or Lebanon’s Hezbollah. Both groups are backed by Iran, meaning a worst-case scenario would see Jerusalem and Tehran squaring off against each other directly. A conflict would undermine stability in the Gulf, which is responsible for 32% of the world’s annual supply of crude oil. That could boost inflation at a time when central bankers have already hiked interest rates and bond yields are rising rapidly.”

Biblical Implications:
Here are the main points of a lengthy excerpt from an article discussing biblical prophecy and how it relates to the current war in Israel:war-in-Israel-a-fulfillment-of-bible-prophecy/
The main points in this text are:
The United States recently gave six billion dollars to Iran, which is criticized as a bad move due to Iran's alleged sponsorship of terrorism.
The text highlights the significance of the regathering of Israel as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy, with Israel becoming a nation in 1948.
It mentions the prophecy in Ezekiel 37 and 38, where a large force from the north, identified as Magog (possibly modern-day Russia), is predicted to attack Israel. Iran (referred to as Persia in ancient times) is mentioned as one of Magog's allies.
The text notes recent developments in Russia-Iran relations, including missile deals and the exchange of drones.
There is a concern that any conflict between Israel and Iran could potentially fulfill the biblical prophecy of Ezekiel 38.
The text emphasizes the need for Christians to watch for signs of Jesus Christ's return and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of Israel during these uncertain times.”
This is an interesting interview from about a decade ago. Detailing the nations that would come against Israel in the last days.
Now, I should preface by saying we’re not fully there yet. But if you dig into the diverse world of political ties as well as the various allies and budding connections associated with Hamas.
It goes without saying that Hamas is very obviously funded and backed by Iran. At that point, we have to ask ourselves, who is an ally of Iran? Well, we’ve seen in recent months/years that Iran and Russia have struck a deal on a missile contract.
“Military cooperation between Iran and Russia has gyrated from virtually nothing after the 1979 revolution to a strategic partnership, bolstered by important arms transfers, by 2023. Overall, Moscow accounted for about a third of Tehran’s arms imports during the four decades after the revolution, according to data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). And the Islamic Republic was exporting Iranian arms to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. The two countries had forged a “full-scale defense partnership” by mid-2023, according to John Kirby of the National Security Council.

With that said,
Let me wrap up by saying this!
It’s important to note this component!
Have heart! Because We WIN!”
